No, almost half our members do not own boats. When a non-boater is paired to fish a club tournament with a boater, the non-boater has the right to fish from the front deck and choose the fishing area for ½ the tournament period. Read rule 12.
We recommend a bow mounted trolling motor, and your boat must have an aerated live well and be equipped with Coast Guard approved safety equipment.Read rule 11 & 15.
Club Dues are $80 for the 2025 season
If you fish a club event as a non-boater, there are expectations that you will help the boater out with gas costs, in the amount of $15.00 for half-day (evening) tournaments and $30.00 for full day tournaments. Read rule 27.
As a learning club we have no payout, only prizes. Read rule 35 & 36.
We have several weeknight (4 hour) and single day (8 hour) weekend tournaments. Check the club schedule on the home page for more information about tournaments
We will have 3 meetings before the fishing season starts and 2 at the conclusionof the year. All meetings are held in Rutland.Q Do I have to have a partner to fish a tournament?A No, partners are drawn for each tournament. Read rule 25.
