Staying in the Loop

Hi Kris,

Let’s Go Fishing has put the recent $2,000 donation from Lake Champlain Valley Bass Club to good use and I am reaching out to provide the club with an update of what the donation has funded so far. Through this thoughtful donation we were able to purchase the materials needed to create four additional educational totes. These totes come equipped with everything our instructors need to conduct a program including tackle, knot tying aids, backyard bass, aquatic ecology kits (build a pond) and much more.  The increase in totes will allow us to approve more program requests particularly during the spring season when school programs are in high demand.

To go with the Educational totes, 30 new Zebco 33 combos were purchased. The 33s are the standard in aquatic resource education. They hold up to abuse from children extremely well and are easy to maintain. In addition to the 33 combos, we also purchased 9 bait cast rod and reel combos for high school and more advanced programing as well as 30 spin cast reels to replace damaged equipment. All of these rods will be immediately put to use.

Currently there is aproximatly $200 left of the donation that has not been utilized. That will be used as instructor needs arise for unique equipment needs that we do not currently have in stock.

Thank you and let me know if you have any questions about how this donation was utilized. We appreciate the club thinking of LGF and helping the Department accomplish its aquatic resource education goals.

Sincerely,
