8/1/2025 Yes, I’m Excited

Nerves and excitement is the only way to describe the feeling tonight!

Tomorrow is a big day as I once was a kid helping out on the gas dock at the family marina on southern Lake Champlain (Buoy 39 marina).

Whenever all the big bass tours came to the lake I was right there meeting and greeting all the anglers as they came in to fuel up. It exposed me to many FLW Tour and Bassmaster Elite Series anglers which is what got me so into competitive bass fishing. It’s all I knew I wanted to do. There was one angler who really got me wanting to learn and get into the sport and that guy is Dave Lefebre.

He was one I looked up to big time and knew I wanted to compete like he did - if not at that level I’d certainly see how far I could take it.

He is one of the big reasons as to how I’ve gotten here along with many other factors and people along the way. Watching him compete in big money and professional tournaments around the country and of course here on Champlain was always so fun to watch and I just wanted to do it like him one day.

Tomorrow that’ll happen as I’ll be going out boat 65, flight 4, due in at 2:45PM at Plattsburgh City Marina in the Major League Fishing BFL Series event on Lake Champlain. It’s my home court and it appears to be decent weather tomorrow. I’ve Got what I feel is a solid game plan and just need to get five of the right bites in the boat!
